The first two owners

December 1974: First owner and Alpina founder Burkard Bovensiepen congratulates TV star and motorsport fan Joachim Fuchsberger on the purchase of this E12 Alpina.
The attachment shows the names of the first three owners: Burkard Bovensiepen (1974), Joachim Fuchsberger (1974-1976), and Gerhard Okon (1976-2018).
The car is in exceptional condition thanks to Mr. Okon’s many years of care and his decision not to drive the Alpina in winter. All body panels are original and the E12 has never been welded.
Historical significance of the Alpina B2(S)

B2
With the B2, Alpina provided BMW drivers from 1971 onwards racing technology on public roads. These cars are very special because they represent the early “Alpina tuning era” before the Buchloe-based company from 1978 onwards became a manufacturer with turbo engines and more luxury.
Little official data is available about the B2 engines, but most sources agree on the following. During the 1970s, the Buchloe-based company built 192 of these souped up engines based on BMW’s M30. These were distributed across the E3, E9 (40 units), E12, and E24. BMW dealers were also able to install them.
Alpina allegedly initially installed a test engine!

What kind of test engine was originally installed in this E12 Alpina? If anyone can provide any information on this, I would be very grateful to be able to complete the already extensive history of this special vehicle.
The following facts are known. According to the BMW delivery note, the 525 in black 086 was shipped to Buchloe in October 1974. Alpina temporarily stored the original engine. According to the vehicle registration document, the E12 was converted to B2 specifications at Alpina and thus registered to Alpina in December 1974.
